Emily Procter

American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born October 8, 1968 is also an activist. She was Ainsley Hayes's character on The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002 (2006)) and also played Det. Calleigh Duquesne on the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Early life



 Procter was conceived on October 8 in 1968. William Procter, an obstetrician was the one who adopted her when she was a baby and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. She was born in Raleigh. She was only three years old older when her parents divorced. Whit, her older brother, has also been adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter attended school in Raleigh. Procter was a student at East Carolina University and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She worked as a television anchor for the WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina. Following graduation, she was awarded degrees in journalism, and dance.
